Robust Controller of Self-Powered Vehicle Active Suspension Based on LMI Design

For vehicle suspension system with norm-bounded uncertain parameters, this paper presents a robust optimal guaranteed cost controller by the quadratic performance index with cross-weighted terms. This controller is able to make the vehicle suspension system keep stable with the parameter perturbation and ensure optimal performance. Then the energy balance analysis is presented and an energy balance condition is given. The simulation results show the feasibility and effectiveness of the controller algorithm. Meanwhile this controller has better performance than both robust controller designed by Riccati equations and LQG controller.
