Application of space-time linear block codes to parallel wireless relays in mobile ad hoc networks

A recent study has shown that parallel wireless relays are useful for ad hoc mobile networking. In this paper, we further explore space-time linear block codes applicable to the parallel relays. We examine the structures of the signals received at a destination assisted by multiple relays with space-time modulations. We also provide a compact form of the Cramer-Rao bound on the channel estimation at the destination where the noise variance depends on channel parameters.
