Photovoltaic consumption in distribution network considering shiftable load

The massive photovoltaic (PV) grid-connected leads to voltage violation in the distribution network. In this paper, a day-ahead schedule model is established to solve the problem of PV curtailment caused by overvoltage. Firstly, we theoretically analyze that the curtailment of PV can be reduced by adjusting the operating time slots of different types of shiftable load, the reactive power compensation of static var compensators and capacitors banks. Then, three different scenarios are set to study the PV consumption in the distribution network. Finally, simulations are carried out based on the modified IEEE 33-node distribution network. The simulation results verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed model.
