Bearing shell with holding cams and process for its preparation

The invention describes a bearing shell (10) with at least one retaining cam (30) which, when looking down on the partial surface (20) of the bearing shell (10), has a rectangular external contour line and an indentation (13) on the inside, the indentation being at its largest around the centre (M) of the cam. The indentation, when looking down on the partial surface (20), has a curved contour line. The cam is made by being either hammered or pressed using a rounded blade.
