Outage analysis of AF based Multi-Hop Multi-Branch networks with Kth best relay selection

In this paper, the outage analysis of MultiHop MultiBranch(MH-MB) network with Kth best relay selection method using Amplify-and-forward protocol is discussed. In cooperative communication systems, we excogitated a MHMB system with Kth best relay selection to overcome the hurdles that are faced if the best deteriorates. In this article, we considered independent and identically distributed Rayleigh fading channels. By evaluating the CDF of the kth best relay, the outage probability is obtained in closed form. More over the Diversity order is also obtained as M-K+1. We plot the graphs for the outage probability for different values of K. the outage performance is depicted by varying the number of branches and threshold. Simulations are also performed to justify the results obtained from the analysis, and they quite match with the analytical results.
