Predicting Academic Success in Introduction to Computers.

AbstractBiographical, temperament, and aptitude data were collected/or two semesters from students enrolled in Introduction to Computers at Northwest Missouri State University. A regression model to predict course grade was constructed from the Fall 1975 semester's data. Although several significant correlations were found, only college grade point average and general intelligence contributed significantly to the model. When the Spring 1976 semester's data were entered into the model, over 40% of the variance in the course grade was explained.
