Use as essential factor for Technology Adoption: Case study of electric vehi cle’s uses in French regional Ecosystem

This article explores the interactions between electric vehicles and their users, compiling determinants for the use of electric vehicles from international studies, as well as a qualitative and contextual field study with a focus group. The valid determinants of utilization have been identified among users in northeastern France, setting a methodological template for understanding the French use of electric vehicles. This research helps to understand the influence that these different uses can have on the purchase of electric vehicles, and allows establishing a critical reading of the diffusion of electric vehicles through their use.
