In this paper, we will describe the interactive visualization and database interface system under development at SRI's David Sarnoff Research Center (Sarnoff) and its most recent application. This application, and the thrust of this paper, addresses the problem of developing a system of tools for helping analysts manage, and draw timely conclusions from information. The successful approach to this problem relies heavily on interactive data visualization tools and the analyst's ability to pose "whatif" questions interactively. It also involves the application of "expert associates" to partially automate the analyst's task of gaining insight from data and identifying anomalies.
