틸팅 판토그라프 설계 및 성능 검증 연구

The development of tilting train is required for speed-up on the conventional electric railroad due to the characteristic of Korean railroad with a lot of curve track. The study for tilting pantograph mechanism to decrease the deviation between a catenary and a center of pantograph happened when the carbody is tilted in order to maintain the ride comfort and stability on a curving track is proceeding with the development of tilting train. The test of dynamic behavior for developing pantograph is the most important test to evaluate and verify the performance for it. The main factors to change the contact force between a pantograph and a contact wire are the increase of the vibration of a pantograph and a catenary system and the aerodynamic lift force on a pantograph according to increasing the speed of a train. In this paper, we introduce the design concept for the tilting mechanism of a tilting pantograph and the role and characteristics for several devices adopted in the tilting pantograph mechanism. The results for dynamic behavior for tilting pantograph obtained through the following characteristic experiment and the aerodynamic simulation for are offered and evaluated.
