A Simple Ontology Mapping Method

An ontology typically provides a vocabulary describing a domain of interest and a specification of the emeaning of terms in the vocabulary. Ontology heterogeneity is the primary obstacle for interoperation of ontology. Ontology mapping is the best way to solve this problem. Matching models is an important operation in traditional applications, such as ontology integration, Schema integration or data warehouses. This paper is devoted to ontology mapping with a solution to the semantic heterogeneity problem faced by computer systems. Many prototypes have been designed for matching ontologies, but our method uses simple measures and tries to detect matching entities. By exploring ontology features, this method performs better than other general methods which use only one type of measure.
