Iterative decoding for multicode CDMA

The author presents a new channel coding scheme for multicode CDMA systems. A convolutional code is applied in a serial concatenation with a rate one block encoder, also referred to as 'mapper', which enables further bit error rate reduction at the receiver through iterative decoding. The bit error rate (BER) performance of iterative demapping and decoding for multicode CDMA is evaluated by means of simulation. The convergence behavior is visualized in the extrinsic information transfer chart.
