SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS AND AUTOMATIC DESIGN OF ELECTROMAGNETIC PARAMETERS IN POWER APPARATUSES

Based on the finite element computation of electromagnetic field, a formula of sensitivity evaluation of the electromagnetic parameters of power apparatuses is presented. By means of this formula, the electric or magnetic field, electromagnetic parameter and its sensitivity are calculated only through the finite element meshing and solution one time. This formula is also extended into the computation of the partial derivatives of an objective function that is for the automatic design of the electromagnetic parameters through an optimization procedure. Numerical results are satisfactory.
