Triangulating on Sustainable Development

We are now in a position to answer the four questions motivating the chapters of Part II: What is sustainable development? Why is it an issue? Ideally, what needs to be done ? and Practically, what can actually be done? The four approaches—Girardian economics, cultural theory, Critical theory, and the local justice framework—are ready to be used to triangulate on the answers. The implications of the triangulation for understanding and practicing sustainable development are as novel as they are considerable.
