A novel five-phase SVPWM base on the feature harmonics space voltage vectors injecting

Multi-phase motors are usually designed to have the concentrated winding and non-sinusoidal air gap flux density distribution in order to maximize the electromagnetic torque. To realize the object, phase voltage of the multi-phase motor should have some special harmonics corresponding with the air gap flux density. In this paper, a novel SVPWM named Harmonic Space Vector Injecting SVPWM (HSVI-SVPWM) is proposed based on the feature harmonics space voltage vectors injecting. The theoretical basis, realization and characteristic of the HSVI-SVPWM are provided, and verification of the novel control schemes is provided by experiments.
