Extending ensemble: an education digital library for computer science education

This paper presents recent work to apply machine learning methods to add thousands of new, relevant records to Ensemble, an educational digital library for computing education, thus solving four challenges remaining after NSF funding ended in 2014. There already are 20 metadata collections from content providers/contributors, leading to more than 5000 educational materials, along with archives of discussions of 58 community groups. Though thousands of users and a broad set of CS communities have engaged with Ensemble, having many new records, and an automated process to add YouTube videos and SlideShare presentations, should extend Ensemble's value and level of usage for computing education.
