Mobile learning with gamification for Alquran memorization

Memorizing Alquran (containing over 6,000 sentences) requires interaction between students and teachers. One of the obstacles in memorizing Alquran is a lack of interest in the process of memorizing. This study applied gamification in mobile learning for memorizing Alquran in order to increase the fun factor. The test results showed that there were significant differences in learning outcomes between the experimental group and traditional group using t-independent test with a significance value of 0.008. Mobile learning with gamification also improves qualitative factors, such as usability, fun, and ease of use.
