Design and Simulation of Predictive Controller for Boiler Main Steam Temperature Control Systems

This paper studied the control problems of the boiler main steam temperature control system.For the characteristics of large delay and big time inertia of 600 MW extra supercritical units,IMC and IMC-PID controllers were established.For the same controlled object,Matlab/simulink was used to obtain the results of every controller. And with different filter time,constant accommodation time and system robustness were analysed.The advantages and disadvantages of each controller were obtained according to the comparison between IMC controller,IMC-PID controller and traditional PID controller.
