RFCS-Based Handover Scheme in Train Wireless Video Surveillance System

To solve the problem of handover latency with trains running across multiple AP,a RFCS( RF channel switched) mechanism is proposed on the basis of study on the train wireless video surveillance system,where AP periodically changes its RF channels in a predetermined order that prevents overlap of neighboring AP channels to reduce handover latency and improve the throughput to achieve the seamless switching. Finally the scheme is emulated with software NS2 and compared with the traditional switching process. The resuts show that the scheme obviously reduces the handover latency to ensure the real-time monitor in train wireless video surveillance system.
