Multi-sensor Aerial Triangulation

Multi-sensor Aerial Triangulation in this research entails the simultaneous resection of multiple images derived from multiple sensors of varying internal and external characteristics. The main aim of this research is to address the problem of integration of diierent sensors: frame cameras, panoramic sensors and three line scanners with GPS/INS support. The mathematical and physical models are discussed. The collinearity equations are extended to accommodate the diierent sensors in a simultaneous adjustment. Software capable of a combined calibration and integration of diierent sensors has been developed by an extended bundle adjustment. Simulation studies were performed in order to examine the accuracy's that could be obtained in a multi-sensor triangulation of diierent combination of the sensors. Finally some concluding remarks and ideas for future development are also suggested.
