A novel frequency tracking algorithm in high dynamic environments

Because of great Doppler frequency shift under high dynamic environments, the common GPS receiver cannot work reliably without the help of inertial navigation devices. To satisfy the requirements of the dynamic performance and also of the tracking accuracy during GPS signal receiving under high dynamic environments, a high dynamic frequency tracking algorithm based on Wigner-Ville distribution is proposed according to the theory of time-frequency analysis. On the basis of analyzing the model of high dynamic environments GPS carrier phase and the theory of Wigner-Ville Distribution, an implementation of algorithm is presented. The simulation results show that the algorithm can track the signal of GPS receiver in high dynamic and low SNR environments accurately.
