XENOTRANSPLANTATION - ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS

Interest for xenotransplantation occurred in medical and scientific areas, because it could offer the potential to suppress the shortages of tissues and/or organs for transplant. However, xenotransplantation give rise to certain ethical problems related with receptor and donors selection, infection risk, economical factors and research conditions.
