E-02 VECTOR FIDELITY CHARACTERIZATION OF OCEAN BOTTOM SEISMIC DATA Summary 1 We have investigated several methods for characterization of vector fidelity of ocean bottom seismic data. The methods are based on the assumption of a linearly polarized wavefield for the direct wave. The methods have been used on several data sets acquired with different equipment at different locations. We present some of the results and discuss their implications. One of the main results for cable equipment is that the horizontal components and in particular the y-component correlates very well with the pressure data. We interpret this as a result of
