Closure to Discussion on “Oil Whirl Fault Modeling, Simulation and Detection in Sleeve Bearings of Squirrel Cage Induction Motors”

Unfortunately, some errors have occurred in the final edition of some figures. The authors apologize for the errors and appreciate the discussers for their interest in the subject and for the opportunity on providing further clarification and modification of the proposed figures. The discussers said that they are in agreement with the authors that the research on analysis and detection of sleeve bearing faults is an important area that has not been investigated in the literature. Then, they said that the theory and test results given in the proposed publication [1] contradict the observations presented in [2]-[4]. These references will be considered more in advance, but please note that [3]-[4] have dealt with rolling element bearing faults, a different research area with numerous publications in the literature.
