Lead-Related Complications

Cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) have become more widespread in use over the last decade, owing to the aging population and expanding indications. The weakest link in the CIED system is the transvenous leads. This review summarizes the current issues with leads including occurrence of complications, lead-related advisories and their management.
