Gesture recognition method with symbol sequence matching based on three-dimensional acceleration

The invention provides a gesture recognition method with symbol sequence matching based on three-dimensional acceleration. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, using a template matching method based on a symbol sequence, comparing the symbol sequence of an acceleration sequence of a gesture to be recognized with standard symbol sequences of all gestures, finding a candidate type of the gesture to be recognized, subsequently calculating the probability that an observation sequence of the gesture to be recognized is generated under the candidate type by using a gesture recognition method based on a hidden markov model, and taking the gesture type with the maximum probability as the final recognition result. According to the method, not only is the influence of the acceleration on the recognition result considered, but also the influence of an acceleration symbol on the recognition result is considered, and compared with a hidden markov model gesture recognition method into which the symbol sequence matching is not added, the method has higher recognition rate.
