Detection ofFlicker Caused byHigh-frequency Interharmonics

International standard bodies specified haveaninstru- mentcapable ofdetecting andassessing theseverity oflightingfiicker, whichiscalled aflickermeter However, therecommended flickerme- terdidnotconsiderflicker caused byhigh-frequency interharmonics. Inrecent studies, thedeficiency ofthecurrent flickermeter standard is reported based onreal field caseexamples. Inthis paper, wereview thedeficiency ofthecurrent flickermeter standard regarding interhar- monics, andpropose anewapproach based ondown-up sampling in thediscrete timesample domain. Wedemonstrate theefficacy ofthe proposed method byqualitative andquantitative comparison withthe currentflickermeter standard inthepresence ofinterharmonics.
