Novel Method to Improve the Efficiency of Network Monitoring

Network availability and network performance are the main objects of network monitoring. There are a few methods that integrate network performance monitoring and network availability monitoring, and the characteristics of integrated monitoring were discussed. The problems when the integrated monitoring faced with large scale network were analyzed and a method that monitors network performance and network availability separately was proposed. Mathematic calculations and the real results illustrated that SNPNA could monitor network performance and network availability better.
