Device and method of detecting color palette in image

The embodiment of the present invention provides a device and method of detecting a color palette in an image, wherein the device comprises an extraction unit which uses a predetermined sliding window to extract the sliding window characteristics of the sliding windows at a plurality of positions from an input image; a selection unit which uses a plurality of determined sliding window templates to search the sliding window having the smallest distance with each sliding window template from the sliding windows at the plurality of positions as a matching sliding window of the sliding window templates; a determination unit for determining the dividing lines of the color lumps of the color palette on the input image according to a matching result of each sliding window template. The method and the device of the embodiment of the present invention can detect the color palette in the image automatically based on an individual RGB channel characteristic and a color palette geometric structure, and have a faster speed and a better robustness by being compared with other methods.
