Fuzzy control for a servo system with matching devices

The paper aims at the control design of a servomotor control system with matching devices. Firstly, two individual PI controllers are employed in the position and velocity control loops of the servo system. Secondly, a position feedforward control is involved to improve the transient response. Thirdly, a PD-like fuzzy logic controller is adopted in the velocity loop to bypass the problems of windup due to integrators and the complex model of the servo system for the second case. Simulations and experiments on these three cases are furnished to compare the responsiveness.
