Method and system for improving loading capacity of generator unit

The invention provides a method and system for improving the loading capacity of a generator unit. The method is applied to the generator unit and at least one load connected with the generator unit and controlled by a frequency converter. The method comprises the steps that when the number of the loads connected with the generator unit is increased, the operation frequency of the frequency converter is reduced, and the additionally arranged load is controlled by a soft starter to be started and stopped. According to the method for improving the loading capacity of the generator unit, through control over the operation frequency of the frequency converter, on the premise that normal operation of a system is not influenced by the device controlled by the frequency converter, other devices such as a load are started, and the operation frequency of the frequency converter is reduced at the same time; in this way, the loading capacity of the generator set is improved, the loading performance of the generator unit is optimized, type selection of generator units even can be reduced, and initial investment and operation cost of the system are reduced. In addition, the invention further provides the system for improving the loading capacity of the generator unit.
