Strategies for imaging gynaecological neoplasms

•. Diagnostic imaging has a major role to play in the management of gynaecological cancers.•. Each of the major cross‐sectional imaging techniques has particular advantages depending on the type and stage of cancer under consideration.•. Knowledge of the planned or anticipated treatment choices will guide the particular choice of imaging strategy for individual patients.•. The imaging strategy adopted will also depend on local factors such as the availability of imaging facilities and radiological expertise.•. Good practice requires close collaboration between radiologists and clinicians.
