Measurement of frequency dependence of Rayleigh backscattering in bidirectional optical systems

Measurements are presented of the frequency dependence of Rayleigh scattering in bidirectional optical systems and the results are compared with a theoretical model. Good agreement was obtained between the functional form derived theoretically and the measurements.
