Ordering Policy Using Multi-Level Association Rule Mining

Inthisarticle,aninventorymodelforaretailer’sorderingpolicyisstudied.Multi-levelassociation ruleminingisusedtofindfrequentitem-setsateachlevelbyapplyingdifferentthresholdatdifferent levels.Duringorderquantityestimation,category,content,andbrandoftheitemsareconsidered, whichleadstothediscoveryofmorespecificandconcreteknowledgeoftherequiredorderquantity. Ateachlevel,optimumorderquantityoffrequentitemsisdetermined.Thisassistsinventorymanager toorderoptimalquantityof itemsasper theactualrequirementof theitemwithrespect totheir category,contentandbrand.Anexampleisdevisedtoexplainthenewapproach.Further,tounderstand theeffectofaboveapproachintherealscenario,experimentsareconductedontheexitingdataset.
