Test Study on Interface Friction Characteristics of Ecological Bag

The interaction between geosynthetics and the rock mass is often encountered in engineering. Study on the friction properties of the geosynthetics can greatly solve a lot of problems like slope and foundation slope protection. The friction characteristic experiment of the geosynthetics is based on the indoor soil direct shear experiment to adapt to the experiment of the large size interface friction characteristics. In this paper, in order to simulate the actual ecological retaining wall from 0m to 10m in project, we adopt strain controlled direct shear apparatus. Under the four different vertical load, we experimented on simulated ecological bag retaining wall. The test results show the interfacial friction force is related to watery and particle size distribution. Through the experimental study on the interface friction characteristics of the ecological bag, we obtained these cohesive force C and friction angle Φ. These two key parameters of the actual project have an important role in guiding the actual project.
