An error analysis of least-squares finite element method of velocity-pressure-vorticity formulation for Stokes problem

Abstract This paper gives a theoretical error analysis for a least-squares finite element method for the Stokes problem based upon the velocity-pressure-vorticity formulation. It shows that this method converges at the optimal rate for equal-order interpolation. The numerical experiments have been given in a previous paper [Vol. 78, pp. 297–311].
