Hip dislocation and the use of the De Vita pin in the cat

The paper presents observations made on hip luxation in cats in general practice over a four-year period. Attention is drawn to some previous reports of this common injury, and discusses the use of the De Vita pin when reluxation follows a closed reduction. The possibility of sciatic nerve injury following this technique is mentioned.
