Projeto de uma biblioteca digital multimídia usando sistemas gerenciadores de banco de dados distribuídos

In this work some characteristics of the distributed database, its forms of distribution, some advantages and disadvantages of the use of this technology are presented, as well as concepts and characteristics of the digital libraries. The form of storage and recovery of archives multimedia also are presented. Finally, the development of a multimedia digital library is described using distributed database.
