Anti-islanding detection of power converter based distributed generation systems and mapping method of non-detection zones

An overview of anti-islanding detection of power converter based distributed generation systems is presented in this paper.The anti-islanding methods are classified,their principles and advantages/disadvantages are analyzed.The 4 commonly used methods for mapping non-detection zone(NDZ) of the islanding detection are explained.Each method's characteristic and application field are also discussed.It is found that optimizing gain control with frequency domain analysis can reduce,but not eliminate,NDZ error;whereas,non-islanding inverter can be obtain by the combination of two anti-islanding methods with different work principles.
