Optimal placement of distributed generations considering carbon emission constraint

Distributed generations (DG) are the trend for solving the energy crisis and environment problems. Employing DG in a distribution network has an impact on the power flow, power losses, voltages, and so on. These influences are highly correlated to the location of DG. Besides, the DG integrates into power grid would produce certain amount of carbon dioxide emissions, thus affecting the environment. This paper proposes a placement model of DG, aiming at optimize the power losses of the network with the consideration of carbon emission constraint. Further, the uncertainty of the load is taken into account by using the scenario method. The IEEE 30-bus test system is used to validate the proposed method.
