Applications of FFT in Low-power Microcontrollers

It is difficult for a microcontroller to implement FFT because the random access memory(RAM) in the low-power microcontroller is very small.The low-power microcontroller and the realization condition of FFT are introduced.In addition,the algorithm to implement FFT and the disadvantages of the low-power microcontroller are presented.The matters needing attention to the acquisition of samples,programm realization and the matters for widowing to the raw signal are described.The FFT was achieved in the low-power microcontroller.An efficient method to perform FFT in the low-power microcontroller was designed.The results demonstrate that the approach is feasible.
