INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION PART TASK TRAINERS

Training astronauts and ground controllers to operate and maintain the International Space Station (ISS) requires a variety of training and simulation systems. This paper describes the Part-Task Trainer (PIT) simulators that are being developed for the International Space Station. ISS PTTs will be deployed for U.S. and International Partner astronaut and ground controller training. The purpose, architecture and project history of the PTT are discussed as well as the overall ISS training approach that PTT supports.
