Philosophical ethics in reproductive medicine : proceedings of the First International Conference on Philosophical Ethics in Reproductive Medicine, University of Leeds, 18-22 April 1988

This volume documents the proceedings of a unique conference which brought together doctors, scientists, philosophers, theologians, lawyers, paramedics and representatives of patient support groups in order to discuss the ethical problems that surround reproductive medicine today. Topics covered included the status of the human embryo, assisted conception and society, care of the neonate, termination of pregnancy, foetal brain cell transplants, experimentation in obstetrics and informed consent.
