EVOLUÇÃO DA ALTURA DE SALTO, DA POTÊNCIA ANAERÓBIA E DA CAPACIDADE ANAERÓBIA EM JOGADORAS DE VOLEIBOL DE ALTO NÍVEL

Volleyball has a characteristic of an interchange among the prevalence of the metabolic pathway required, depending on the movements inherent to the activity of this sport. For the evaluation of the main aspects regarding athlete performance in volleyball, several laboratory studies have been done, such as Wingate’s Test, and field tests such as vertical jump tests. The main purpose of this study were: 1) to verify the performance of vertical jump in specific situations during a volleyball game, 2) to evaluate the metabolic response through Wingate’s Test, and 3) to compare the tests performed with the type of periodization adopted during a season. In this study seven top female volleyball players were evaluated. By comparing the results obtained there are evidences that the type of periodization adopted was adequate to keep the level of vertical jump performance in specific situations. Metabolic changes showed an increase in the alactic anaerobic pathway, according to the changes in peak power.
