Solutions of Voltage Beyond Limits in Distribution Network with Distributed Photovoltaic Generators

Following an analysis of the mechanism of voltage threshold crossings in the distribution network caused by distributed photovoltaic(PV)generators,an active and reactive power integrated control strategy is proposed for the characteristics of large R/X ratios in distribution network.When the network has overvoltage risk,the active power limit will be set in real time to fundamentally prevent overvoltage with the excessive solar energy stored temporarily in the energy storage device.At the same time,the remaining capacity of the inverter will be used to absorb inductive reactive power to further reduce the voltage while avoiding unnecessary active cuts.Theoretical analysis and simulation are carried out to verify the proposed scheme.
