Virtual test driving at General Motors Europe

Due to the increasing complexity of control systems and the variety of different vehicle variants, virtual development methods become more and more important. For years, General Motors Europe Engineering has been aiming to increase the application of simulation methods to systematically support the driving test on the road concerning the integration of chassis control systems. This paper reports on the usage of the vehicle dynamics software Car Maker by IPG Automotive.
