A chi-square statistic for validating simulation-generated responses

Abstract A chi-square statistic is developed for validating simulation models. This statistic is used to test the hypothesis that the variance between the simulation generated output and actual output is less than some tolerable limit. The assumptions and the steps required to compute the statistic are presented. A real-world example is presented to illustrate the methodology and to demonstrate its usefulness. The results are shown to be consistent with previous statistical validation.
