Analysis of College English Lexical Teaching from the Perspective of Levelt's Discourse Model

Lexical teaching is one of the pivotal components in class teaching of college English. Traditional English teaching is mainly based on grammatical teaching rather than lexical one, which is not adaptive to the needs of modern and diverse society. This thesis is tentative to probe both the conceptual process and formal process from the perspective of Levelt's discourse model, aiming to reveal the rules of English lexical teach- ing and make some constructive suggestions.
