INCREASE OF EFFICIENCY OF SPACE VEHICLES

The report is devoted to the rocket engines efficiency increasing by the gas -dynamical regulation of nozzle altitude capability. This regulation is ensured by the ring slot creation into the supersonic part of the nozzle (slotted nozzle). The dependence of the increasing of the first stage engine (with high -altitude slotted nozzle) specific impulse on the altitude of the flight in the atmosphere is considered. The results of the numerical meth ods calculation of gas flow with flow separation into the nozzle and their comparison with the experimental data of the slotted nozzle model tests are presented.
