Intelligent System For The Selection OfLocating Chart

In the paper the problems of a rational selecting the preoperational location of a machine-piece in a three-dimensional space are considered. The required formalisms are offered, the necessity of applying the expert knowledge is stated. It is also mentioned about the realization of a knowledge-based system of selecting the location method.
