A Wide-Band Hybrid Ring for UHF

A 6λ/4 hybrid ring was modified by replacing the 3λ/4 long arm, with aλ/4 line and a frequency insensitive π phase shift. Calculations are shown for input and transfer admittances, insertion loss, and the effect of capacitance across the loads. Some experimental results are given and applications for the wide-band hybrid ring are suggested.
